Dharmendra was born on 8 December 1935. His full name is Dharam Singh Deol. He debuted in Hindi film industry with Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere(1960). Hw ent on to star in romantic films like Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya, Dulhan Ek Raat Ki, Bandini(1963), Anpadh(1962), Ayee Milan Ki Bela(1964), Kaajal(1965), Phool Aur Patthar(1966), Anupama. He switched to suspense and action films withMera Gaon Mera Desh, Seeta Aur Geeta, Jugnu, Sholay, Satyakam, Chacha Bhatija, Dharm Aur Qanoon, Raaj Tilak, Nafrat Ki Aandh, Shalimar, Kab? Kyoon? Aur Kahan?, Karishma Kudrat Kaa, Life in a... Metro Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, etc.
